The laboratories of LVA GmbH offer chemical-analytical, microscopic and microbiological examination as well as sensory assessment of food, cosmetics, everyday objects, environmental samples and environmental samples (soil, water, leaves, etc.) and support the interpretation of the results.

The Food Research Institute endeavors to represent the interests of producers and distributors at various levels. The LVA has been represented for decades in the Codex Commission, its sub-commissions, the Standing Committee on Hygiene, the FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius Commission, the Standardization Institute, the CEN and other bodies, where it contributes specialist knowledge as an expert.
